Inxense Smart Object

Smart Object

InXense contributes to the diffusion and realization of Smart Objects through study, design and 3D prototyping.

Such an object increases its performance and performs its functions more effectively, resulting in added value (Predictive maintenance and self-monitoring of health status)

Interaction with other objects

This is an enhanced physical object with capabilities to measure the quantities of the environment in which such objects operate and to communicate through communication networks with remote servers or with other Smart Objects.

Printed electronics

Printed electronics allows the selective deposition of various types of inks that once sintered constitute conductive, semi-conductive, resistive or insulating materials. Any kind of geometric pattern can be realized thanks to the digital design by CAD software, allowing to achieve an optimized deposition on any type of substrate, whether planar or 3D.

MISSION

01

inXense aims to contribute to the diffusion and realization of Smart Objects. Conventional objects are provided with sensors, processing and communication capabilities thanks to their functionalization. In such a way, electronics is directly integrated on the surface of objects, being now capable to process information from sensors, run algorithms and send information to external read-out units.

Applications

02

Medical

Electrochemical cells, microfluidics, EMG electrodes.

Automotive

Strain Gauge, RTDs, pressure sensors.

Aerospace

Strain Gauge, RTDs, pressure sensors.

Industrial

Strain Gauge, RTDs, pressure sensors.

VISION

03

The availability of objects able to have awareness of the environment in which they live – through sensors that measure functional quantities to the task for which they were produced and monitoring of their status – will enable additional functions to the objects themselves, increasing their value.

The functionalization allows the object to be equipped with sensors which can communicate the data collected to external servers for the execution of functions or collaboration between objects or monitoring of their status for the execution of functions such as predictive maintenance, logistics organization, more efficient use of resources thus increasing energy savings by allowing an optimization of the product through redesign of the product itself, in a perspective of circular economy.
